Service Description
TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensors are the evolution of Hall effect sensors. Like these, they read the position of the analog through a magnetic field, so no parts rub against each other and there is nothing that wears out: the drift caused by potentiometer wear cannot reappear.
Compared to Hall sensors you gain in signal resolution and stability: the dead zone in the center is smaller, micro-movements are read better and power consumption is lower. It's the right choice if you play many hours, especially shooters or titles that require fine aiming precision.
The service includes complete disassembly, replacement of both analog modules, reassembly and testing on console with calibration verification.
Want something more? With the Upgrade with GuliKit TMR sensors you also get additional mechanical functions: interchangeable knobs of different heights and stick hardness adjustment, to adapt the controller to your playing style.
Technology comparison
Upgrade or new controller?
Most new controllers still have analog sticks with potentiometer like yours: the slider rubs on the track, wears out and, with use, drift comes back. With the upgrade you don't just repair: you change technology. The sensor that wore out is replaced with one that reads position with a magnetic field, without contact: it doesn't touch, so it doesn't wear out. For wear drift on analog sticks, you won't need to replace them anymore.

With the standard TMR, the original interchangeable knobs of the DualSense Edge are preserved. With the GuliKit 720, it is no longer possible to use them: GuliKit caps of three types are provided.
How It Works
Our work
-
Disassembly of the analog sticks -
The original resistive analog stick (on this controller it was already replaced or re-soldered) -
The new TMR GuliKit analog stick
